Benadir regional admin tightens Mogadishu security PDF Print E-mail

MOGADISHU ( Diirad ) – The Benadir regional administration on Sunday said that it will tighten the overall security of the Somali capital Mogadishu as Somalis are observing the festival of Eid Al Adha.

In an interview with Diirad, Abdikafi Hilowle Osman, the secretary of Benadir administration said the security forces of Somali government are tightly assuring the stability and peace of Mogadishu’s 16 districts.

The move is being done the residents of the seaside capital to celebrate the carnival of Eid Al Adha, according to Osman.

He noted the police and security forces of the government were put on high alert to prevent any activity against the security.

He said the because of feast sacrifices for Eid Adha, the Turkish government has slaughtered many livestock to help the famine victims and poor people in the capital.

The remnants of Al shabaab in Mogadishu can’t make any vandalism activities in the city, the secretary concluded his remarks.
